What is a G-Sensor?

The Nextbase 322GW dash cam features a G-Sensor, which is an invaluable tool if you find yourself involved in a collision. The G-Sensor is an accelerometer that registers values based on the amount of force applied during an impact.

A value will be pre-set, and if you’re involved in a collision that registers at this value or higher, the footage will automatically be protected and moved into a folder that cannot be overwritten. You’ll then be able to send this to the police or your insurance company.

Why choose a 322GW dash cam with G-Sensor?

There are a range of benefits that come with choosing a 322GW dash cam with a G-sensor, one of the main benefits being that if you were involved in an incident, the file is automatically protected, ensuring the image isn’t overwritten. This will be shown on the dash cam with a padlock appearing on the screen for your peace of mind.

Another benefit of the G-Sensor is that it can be triggered by other factors, including potholes, heavy acceleration and braking, or speed bumps. Settings can be adjusted to suit the driving conditions and environment if you find too many files are being automatically protected by the G-Sensor. You can adjust this G-Sensor to high, medium, low, and off, with the high setting being the most sensitive.

GPS Tracking

GPS records accurate speed and location data for your Dash Cam while you're driving. In the past, a touch screen panel has been something reserved for top of the range models such as the 622GW. HPlay, edit and share your Dash Cam footage on PC or Mac using the newly developed playback software, MyNextbase Player.

The software has been developed in-house to provide a fully enhanced playback experience, with the inclusion of an updated Google Maps feature, speed information and G-Sensor readings to display all important information that can be passed on to an insurance provider.

MyNextbase Player includes the functionality to play footage from your Dash Cam or Rear View Camera Module. Sharing footage has never been easier, as you can send important footage at the click of a button to your insurance provider, as well as to social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

The software suite includes full editing capabilities, allowing you to find that important section of footage without the need to download separate editing software. Additional features include the ability to screenshot a frame, zoom in and out of videos to provide clearer detail on number plates or road signs, and the option to add multiple videos to a playlist
