Honest John – the 522GW is “head and shoulders above the rest”.

After triumph in Honest Johns Dash Cam of the Year Award in 2018, Nextbase are delighted to still be on top after their New Series 2 522GW wins Honest John’s Dash Cam of the Year 2019, representing Nextbase’s progression and innovation in a highly competitive & constantly evolving market.

Named “the best of the best” by Honest John, six categories of the 522GW Dash Cam were analysed and rated out of five stars, the categories being: Overall, Price, Value, Features, Functionality & Design. The 522GW gained a 5-star overall rating.



When discussing whether it is worth buying, Honest John called the 522GW “the most feature-packed Dash Cam on the market” and stated that it is “head and shoulders above the rest”. Honest John concluded their review of the Award-winning Dash Cam with Pros and Cons. The Pros being the features Alexa, AutoSync and Emergency SOS, the new Click&Go PRO magnetic mount and excellent footage quality. Which massively outweigh the Cons – footage isn’t 4K and no micro SD card supplied.

Honest John articulated how impressed they were by the improved features and innovations Nextbase had made from the Series 1 512GW to the new Series 2 522GW.
